Maria's Walk: Join 10TV at the Columbus Zoo to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving

Maria's Walk is a family-friendly, fund-raising event to benefit Maria's Message and the Maria Tiberi Foundation.

The 1-mile walk takes place at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

10TV's Dom Tiberi lost his daughter Maria Tiberi, a senior majoring at Graphics Design at The Ohio State University, in a tragic car accident in 2013 that by all accounts could have been prevented. Tiberi has now dedicated his life to spreading a message, Maria's Message, about the dangers of distracted driving with the hope of saving lives.

The Maria Tiberi Foundation raises funds to purchase simulator distracted driving machines, which further raise awareness among drivers of all ages to the dangers and challenges of distracted driving.
