Man shot, killed in Columbus McDonald's drive-thru

COLUMBUS, Ohio - One man is dead after he was shot and killed in a drive-thru at a Columbus McDonald's restaurant, according to police.

This happened around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday at the location in the 2500 block of South Hamilton Road.

Police told 10TV when they arrived they found a car turned around in the drive-thru.

The man who was shot, identified as 28-year-old Zachary Hoeft, was found lying between the drive-thru ordering stations. Hoeft was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital in critical condition, according to police.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police said several others were in the car found at the scene when shots were fired.

Police said they do not have any suspect information and are waiting on surveillance video to learn more about what happened.
