Man killed in single-vehicle crash in Mansfield

LEXINGTON, OHIO - The Mansfield Post with the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Troy Township.

It happened Saturday just before 3 p.m. on State Route 546 near mile post 8.

Ronald Broeske, 62 of Bellville, Ohio was driving northbound on SR-546 when he failed to negotiate a curve and slid off the left side of the road and struck an embankment which caused his vehicle to rollover multiple times.

Broeske was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle.

Broeske was pronounced dead on the scene by the Richland County Coroner.

Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
