COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Columbus Division of Police is investigating after an alleged argument turned violent Saturday night.

Police say officers were called to the 1700 block of W. Mound St. at 8:36 p.m. on a report of a shooting.

There, officers say they found 32-year-old Amanda Peterson, who had been shot in the shoulder.

Peterson told police that she was in an argument with a man named Shaquele Beard, who pulled out a gun and shot her.

Authorities say 25-year-old Beard was arrested after fleeing from officers on foot, and has been charged with one count of Felonious Assault.

Peterson was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
