COLUMBUS -- A man involved in a video where a police officer allegedly kicked him is now facing charges for a separate incident, according to Columbus Police.

Officers were called to the 1700 block of N. High St. at 1:55 a.m. Friday because of complaints of a person with a gun.

Police arrested De-Marko Da-Shawn Anderson.

They say Anderson began kicking and banging his head in the back of the police cruiser following his arrest.

The police officer says he opened the back door to the wagon to calm Anderson down and Anderson spit at his face.

Anderson has been charged with Harassment with a Bodily Substance.

In a separate incident on April 8, 2017, a Columbus police officer is under investigation after he was caught on camera allegedly kicking Anderson. The video appears to show the officer kicking him in the head while he is on the ground and restrained during a gun-related arrest. That officer is under investigation.
