The suspect has been identified as 43-year-old Thomas Hartless.

Hartless is accused of killing Kirkersville Police Chief Steven DiSario and two employees at the Pine Kirk Care Center.

According to court records, Hartless has a criminal record dating back to an assault in 1992.

Hartless also has three different domestic violence charges against him since 2016. He was also charged in 2009 with abduction.

Chief DiSario, 36, had only been on the job for three weeks, according to officials. DiSario had five children and a sixth on the way.
