Main Street in east Columbus back open after business fire

COLUMBUS - Multiple fire crews responded to help put out a fire at a business in east Columbus.

Fire crews were notified of the flames around 11:50 Monday night.

Large flames and smoke were seen coming from the building owned by Wirthman Bros., Inc, located on E. Main Street. The building housed three separate businesses.

Columbus Police shut down E. Main Street between S. Napoleon Avenue and Maplewood Avenue for several hours. They reopened all lanes of the roadway shortly before 6:30 a.m.

The fire remains under investigation.
