Little boy comforts crying classmate with autism, holds his hand

WITCHITA, Kansas (WTHR) — A little boy's compassion has taken the internet by storm.

It was the start of a new school year for two little boys, one of which was having a hard time on his first day. Christian noticed one of his new classmates named Connor was crying and decided to comfort him by holding his hand.

The interaction was captured on camera by that boy's mom.

"It is an honor to raise such a loving, compassionate child!" Courtney Coko Moore posted on Facebook.

What Christian didn't know was that Connor has autism.

After Moore posted the sweet moment on her Facebook page, Connor's mother and grandmother found the post and left a comment.

"Tell your son I said thank you so very much! That little boy he helped is my son and is autistic, I worry everyday that he is going to get bullied... your son just absolutely warmed my heart," April Crites wrote in a comment.

The post has thousands of likes and shares and the two boys have made a friend for life.
