It's official: Victoria's Secret Fashion Show not happening this year

COLUMBUS - It's official: the models will not walk the runway. At least not this year.

Columbus-based L Brands, which owns Victoria's Secret, told 10TV Thursday the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will not be taking place in 2019.

CFO Stu Burgdoerfer confirmed months of rumors on an earnings call Thursday, according to the L Brands office of investor relations.

Back in July, long-time model Shanina Shaik reportedly broke the news, saying she was a bit disappointed.

When asked why the show was going on hiatus, Shaik said it could be because the brand is "trying to work on branding and new ways to do the show."

The lavish event has been taking place since 1995.
