Icy conditions on I-70 cause semis to go off highway

Crews work to remove several semi-trucks that slide of the road due to icy conditions in Licking County

LICKING COUNTY, Ohio - Icy conditions caused travel problems east of Columbus on Thursday morning.

The Licking County Sheriff's Office says at least three semis slid off the roadway on I-70 eastbound between mile markers 137 and 141.

Lanes on I-70 eastbound were at SR-668, east of Buckeye Lake. One lane of I-70 westbound was also closed between US-40 and SR-13 due to the accident.

Muskingum County Sheriff issued a level one snow emergency.
