COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ice can be seen on the outside of Fort Rapids Water Park after a water pipe burst inside Wednesday morning.

The Columbus Division of Fire said crews were called to the building just before 8 a.m.

Crews reported water spilling outside and down elevator shafts.

The fire department believes the pipe burst on the top floor and they are in contact with the building's owners to get the utilities shut off.

The park closed in 2016 after a host of problems including health and safety issues.

The restaurant was cited for numerous violations, the air quality in the water area was deemed unsafe, and bedbugs were found in the hotel.
