COLUMBUS, Ohio — A crash involving five vehicles left two people injured on I-270 west on the city's south side Friday afternoon.

The westbound lanes were closed between U.S. 23 and I-71 as a result. The lanes have since been reopened.

Authorities say a van hit three stationary vehicles in the main portion of the highway going at normal traffic speed. A fifth vehicle could not avoid the crash and struck them. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says the reason is unknown for why the vehicles were stationary.
