After a couple of days with scattered flurries, we have yet to experience our first measurable snowfall of the season. That may happen Saturday.

An approaching cold front will bring a chance for scattered light snow showers during the day and possibly into the night.

Amounts do not look heavy, but it’s possible we could see up to an inch in the Columbus area and other parts of central Ohio.

Areas north of I-70 have potential to receive 1-2”.

Looking ahead, a series of Clipper systems will pass through during the course of the upcoming week. None of these looks to be a major snow maker, but some areas may see as much as 2-4” of snow through the course of the week.

Typically, we get our first snowfall during the month of November.

The average snowfall in December is about five inches.

If you’re thinking ahead, Columbus only gets a white Christmas about 25 percent of the time.
