COLUMBUS -- The Ohio Department of Education released its annual school report cards Thursday.

This year, for the first time, schools and districts were assigned an overall letter grade.

Columbus City Schools received an overall grade of F.

The district released a statement, saying in part, "There’s far more to measuring a child’s learning and growth than what’s scored on the state’s annual local report card, which offers only a limited snapshot on six state-selected indicators and a new overall district grade."

  • Improving At-Risk K-2 Readers
  • Graduation Rate
