Hocking County EMA looking into why abandoned mine collapsed

MURRAY CITY, Ohio – The Hocking County Emergency Management Agency is looking into why an abandoned mine collapsed in Murray City.

The agency said they first received a call about it around 9:30 Sunday morning.

There is one house affected by the collapse but the agency said the owner does not live in it anymore.

The Hocking County EMA said there is some flooding on Hack Street as a result of the collapse.

No one was hurt.
