Eighteen years ago Grove City's Stew Gibboney took a ride in a hot air balloon and that was all it took, he was hooked.

Stew was a school teacher for 35 years and what started as a hobby has turned into a business. Stew is now a licensed balloon pilot.

He says he loves taking people up and especially the adventure part of each trip.

Stew says every time you take off there is no steering and you travel where the winds take you.

He says it is the ultimate adventure because you never know where you are going to land and that you are always meeting new people who did not know you were coming.

Stew says he is the only pilot to take a balloon into Ohio Stadium and he did it twice. Stew says safety is rule number one.

He says it is easier to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than being in the air and wishing you were on the ground.
