Gov. DeWine & Ohio health officials hold summit on coronavirus preparedness

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is holding a summit with local health officials on coronavirus preparedness on Thursday.

Among the health officials attending will be Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton, who will give opening remarks.


The group will discuss people under investigation management, action steps after a confirmed coronavirus case, and identifying and reaching the most vulnerable populations during an outbreak.

The summit comes after changes have been announced for the Arnold Sports Festival amid concerns over the coronavirus.

Festival organizers have said they are would like to allow spectators to attend events while Gov. DeWine and Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther said they "stand ready" for legal action if Arnold Sports Festival allows spectators at events.
