'Goosebumps' author R.L. Stine returns to hometown of Bexley

BEXLEY, Ohio — The author responsible for the “Fear Street” and “Goosebumps” books returned to his hometown of Bexley.

R.L. Stine greeted and spoke to fans of his scary stories at the Drexel Theatre Sunday afternoon. Fans also saw a screening of his new film, ”Goosebumps 2”.

Stine also celebrated the launch of his new novel series called "Just Beyond: The Scare School".

“This is pretty amazing for me. Because when I was a kid, my brother and I would be here in the Drexel Theatre every Saturday morning,” Stine told 10TV. “Now, here I am, showing my movie, 'Goosebumps 2' in the same theater. It's kind of a thrill.”

People who attended could get an autographed copy of his new book.

Some fans even came from different states to see the author.
