COLUMBUS, Ohio — As businesses work to adapt to the new normal, a local restaurant is offering a unique treat with every carryout order.

A director with Lindey’s in German Village says in the past, carryout orders have only been a small percentage of business, but with the new normal, things are quickly changing.

“It’s been a struggle. It’s been a scary time, especially for the restaurant industry right now,” said Grant Cassidy, director of catering.

As a nice surprise to the customers visiting their business, Cassidy says each carryout order will come with a roll of toilet paper — a nod to the craze that began a few weeks ago.

“It’s been great. We have a lot of people putting things on Facebook and Instagram. People are definitely smiling and laughing," Cassidy said.

In addition to the toilet paper, guests will also receive a card hand-signed by the staff of Lindey’s.

“Anything that comes in — we are so appreciative, so it’s the least we can do is a (hand-written) note," Cassidy said.
