Franklin County Fair kicks off Saturday


The Franklin County Fair kicks off Saturday at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard.

Franklin County Fair Organizers say these are the new and favorite events people can look forward to all week, through July 21.

Some of the new grandstand events will include a Monster Truck Thrill Show from the Monster Truck Racing League and Family Movie Night in the Grandstand.

New daily attractions will include an expanded Kid Zone, the opportunity to milk a real cow at CowTown USA, the World of Wonders classic sideshow under a big top tent; and the Escape Explosion show featuring a jaw-dropping “how did they do that?” experience! Classic grandstand entertainment will feature Buckeye Rodeo, Central Ohio Truck Pull Circuit, KOI Drag Racing and Demolition Derby.

The eight-day event will be held at the Franklin County Fairgrounds at 5043 Northwest Parkway in Hilliard, Ohio.

Most attractions and performances are free with admission (excluding select Grandstand events, rides, games and food).

Gates open 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday & Saturday | 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday – Thursday

Ticket Information

Daily Admission –Tickets are available for purchase at all gates. Daily admission is $7 (children2 and under free). Parking is free and available in lots adjacent gates 3, 4 and 5.

Pre Fair Ticket Sale – Tickets may be purchased for $5 (a $2 discount) now through July 13th at 9 p.m. Call fair office for more details 614-876-7235.
Rides - Individual ride tickets are $1.00; books of 12 tickets are $10.00. Kiddie rides require 3 tickets. Major rides will require 4 tickets. Unlimited ride wristbands are $15.

Discounts – Ride wristbands will be on sale for $10 on Sunday, July 15, for Family Day. Military members receive free admission on Thursday, July 19, with valid government ID.
