Franklin County Coroner reports 10 overdose deaths in about 26 hours

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio — The Franklin County Coroner reports that as of 10 a.m. Sunday, there have been 10 deaths from overdoses in about 26 hours.

Franklin County Coroner Dr. Anahi Ortiz said, “this is an unusually high number for our county in this period of time."

She said to make sure friends and families of those who use have naloxone and those who use should test before using with fentanyl testing strips.

Dr, Ortiz said It has been known that fentanyl can be mixed into cocaine and methamphetamine, which can be deadly combinations for those who are using.
