Florida man impersonating cop pulls over undercover officer

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida man was arrested after pretending to be a police officer and pulling an actual police officer.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested 26-year-old Matthew Joseph Erris after pulling over one of their undercover detectives.

Erris had red and blue lights on the grill of his car. After discovering Erris was not a legitimate officer, deputies conducted a real traffic stop on him. They found an airsoft gun.

Erris is now facing a charge for impersonating a law enforcement officer.
