The neighbors of two people killed in a shooting on the east side Friday evening said they don't feel safe at home after the incident.

According to police, Albert Steele, 22, and Javon McGinnis, 23, were found dead at a home located on Olmstead and Roselle Avenues, around 10:29 p.m. Friday.
Police were searching for those responsible for the shooting.

Family and friends of the victims spent the day comforting one another at the Thornwood Commons apartments Saturday.

Ernest Sowell, Javon's father, said he wanted to know why his son was killed.

"I'm still out here, I've been here all night, I'll be here another night. I'm going to figure out something or somebody's going to tell me something," said Sowell.

Residents living near where the shooting happened said they are concerned.

Michella Akram said she decided to keep her daughters closer to home after the shootings.

"There needs to be recreations, these kids need something to do obviously," said Akram.
