Friends and family of a 15 year old gunned down in front of his home Wednesday night are crying out for answers.

Aboubakary Diawara died Wednesday night on Laurelwood Drive in North Columbus.

His family and friends gathered Thursday to remember the Northland High School student who they call smart, goofy and loving.

“I would never think someone so close to me would be gone the next day,” 16-year-old Kabinet Diakite said. “If I knew, I would have made sure he was with me the whole time. I would have made sure he was safe. I had no idea."

“The hardest thing about it- he was shot at the age of 15,” Ahmed Camara said. “I think about this could be anybody's son- my son, my sister's kids."

Columbus Police are still looking for the teen's killer.

Anyone with information is asked to call Columbus Police Homicide at 614-645-4730 or the Crimestoppers Tip Line at 614-645-TIPS.
