Equality Ohio Director Resigns After Disorderly Conduct Charge

The director of Equality Ohio resigned following a disorderly conduct charge, 10TV News reported on Thursday.

Court records showed that gay rights organization director Ed Mullen III went onto another man's property Saturday and threatened him.

Mullen was not available for comment on Thursday.

The Equality Ohio board president said Mullen was instrumental in getting domestic partner benefits in cities throughout Ohio and has been key in pushing for statewide marriage equality in Ohio.

The group will name an interim director soon.
