Daughter turns to Craigslist in hopes of Christmas miracle

Jillian Dyer shared this image in a Craigslist post in hopes of finding her dad's guitar

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Jillian Dyer hopes to receive a Christmas miracle.

"I have gone to every pawn shop in town, every guitar store," she explained. "... Called everywhere that sells used instruments."

Dyer is searching for her dad's guitar. He pawned it several times to support his opiate addiction.

"He started using opiates and heroine about 2 or 3 years ago. I think the relapse kinda started happening before he got with prescription medicine," she said.

On December 3rd, Jerry Dyer entered hospice care from complications with his abuse. He passed away 8 days later.

Out of desperation to hold on to his legacy, Dyer posted an ad on Craig's List with a photo of the guitar.

"I was hoping that somebody would see it, and realize that they had bought that guitar somewhere in the last year and a half... or they would know somebody who recently got a guitar," Jillian said.

She hopes to buy the guitar back and learn to play some of her dad's music.

"I dabbled in guitar before, but I think I want to start taking it seriously now," she said.

If you have any information on where Jerry Dyer's guitar may be, you can contact Jillian through her Craig's List ad.
