Crime of the week: Unsolved murder of former college basketball standout

COLUMBUS - Columbus Police are looking for two people who may be responsible for the death of a former college basketball standout.

Desmond Allison, who formerly played basketball for the University of Kentucky, was shot and killed on July 25, 2011 at the 2000 block of Maryland Avenue at 3:45 p.m., according to police.

Allison got into an argument with a black female on the day of the shooting.

Police say that during that argument, three black males arrived at the scene and jumped from a mini-van.

One man began fighting with Allison and shot him.

The suspects also allegedly shot Malcolm Goff, police say. That victim survived.

One suspect, Richard Lee Willis, has been arrested.

The other two suspects are still at large.

One of those suspects is approximately 5'6" to 5'8" in height, according to police.
