LICKING COUNTY, Ohio — A contractor accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from his customers has pleaded guilty.

Andrew DeVary was charged with four felony counts of theft related to home repair and renovation work he never completed, or in some cases, never started.

Prosecutors said four Licking County homeowners paid DeVary's company Grace Restorations between $4,000 and $51,000.

DeVary previously told 10TV he never intended to defraud or scam anyone. He blamed his own mismanagement of his business and the death of a child last year.

10TV found several civil suits against him dating back to 2006, all for taking money for work he didn't complete.

Wednesday, DeVary pleaded guilty to three counts of felony theft. A fourth count was dismissed.

He will be sentenced in September.
