Columbus recreation facilities look to snow emergency levels to assess cancellations


With more winter weather coming to central Ohio over the weekend, many activities face the possibility of getting disrupted.

Columbus Parks and Recreation has youth basketball at their centers Saturday. Other facilities have indoor soccer and more.

To determine if activities go on, the city looks at the county's snow emergency system.

“A level two emergency — all our facilities stay open, but we'll cancel programming. A level three emergency — all of our facilities will be closed, all of our programming will be canceled,” said Brian Hoyt of the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department.
