Columbus Pride Festival: What you need to know

This weekend, the City of Columbus is celebrating its 37th year of PRIDE with the 2018 Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival.

The festival will take place at:
Bicentennial and Genoa Park
233 Civic Center Dr
Columbus, OH 43215

You can attend at these times:
Friday, June 15: Festival (4 – 11 p.m.)
Saturday, June 16: Parade (Step-off at 10:30 a.m.)
Saturday, June 16: Festival (11 a.m. – 8 p.m.)
Sunday, June 17: Pride Brunch (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.)

Saturday’s parade kicked off at Goodale Park, at the corner of Goodale Street and High Street.

COTA is offering options to accommodate the expected crowds downtown. What you need to know about reroutes and ride options:

COTA customers should expect delays and reroutes Thurs., June 14-Sat., June 16 due to the Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival. Beginning Thursday at 9 a.m., Lines 3, 6 and 9 will be rerouted. Lines 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11 and AirConnect will reroute starting at 4 p.m. on Friday. Northbound bus stops on Front Street between Mound and Long streets, and southbound bus stops on Front Street between Broad and Mound streets will close for the festival, beginning Friday at 4 p.m. Service will be diverted to High Street.

Customers should expect additional delays and reroute the morning of Sat., June 16, beginning around 5 a.m., in conjunction with the Stonewall Columbus Pride Parade. Lines 1, 2, 2L, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, CMAX, Zoo Bus, AirConnect and the CBUS will reroute during the parade.

The CBUS downtown circulator will be extended until 3 a.m. on Fri., June 15 and Sat., June 16.
