Columbus Police Searching For Two Persons Of Interest After Teen Shot And Killed

A 16-year-old was shot and killed Monday evening in northeast Columbus.

Columbus Police Department received a call of several shots fired near Woodland Ave. and Argyle Ave. just after 6:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found Tykeem Eskridge dead in the parking lot. Eskridge was a student at Northland High School.

Police are currently looking for two persons of interest in connection to the shooting.

According to police, Eskridge entered a store in the area with a male friend and then met with the persons of interest in the parking lot.

Police said they don't know yet what led to the shooting but that both parties involved know each other.

Authorities added that the victim had a gun and had exchanged fire with the person who shot him.
