Columbus Police: Resident fires shots after home invasion suspect kicks in back door

Columbus police respond to reported home invasion in the Linden area | May 14, 2019 (WBNS-10TV)

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Two people are in custody after a reported home invasion in the Linden area Tuesday morning.

Columbus police were called around 10:15 a.m. to a home in the 1000 block of East 22nd Avenue.

As officers arrived on scene, two suspects allegedly ran from the home. A foot pursuit began and one of the suspects ran down a back alley; the other kicked in the back door of another house nearby. Someone inside that home fired shots at the suspect, according to police. No one was injured.

Police were able to apprehend both suspects. Their identities have not been released at this time.
