Columbus Police Headquarters Evacuated Due To Elevator Emergency

Staff at the Columbus Police Headquarters was evacuated from the building just after noon on Wednesday.

The building is located on Marconi Blvd. in downtown Columbus.

According to the Fire Department, there was an elevator emergency.

People working in offices felt a shake when an elevator apparently dropped.

CPD was evacuated as a precaution. Employees went to a nearby building while fire crews checked out the situation. 

The situation was ruled all clear before 1 p.m. No one was injured.
