An Ohio man has been indicted on charges of supporting terrorism and money laundering over the past year and a half.

A prosecutor's motion on Tuesday to set a $2.5 million bond for Abdirahman Sheik Mohamud alleges he provided material support or resources or electronic devices to people engaged in Middle East terrorism and traveled there.

The motion filed by Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien said Mohamud, currently in Franklin County Jail, is a public safety risk and has every reason to flee the U.S.

Court documents don't list an attorney available to comment on the charges against Mohamud.

The charges were filed in state court, while O'Brien said the case is part of a continuing FBI investigation.

A Wednesday court appearance was scheduled for Mohamud.
