City Half Marathon: Road closures, detours, parking

The 2018 OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon is here once again.

10TV has everything you need to know about the events, parking and traffic detours.

Event organizers will be setting up downtown on Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28 with the following road closures from Friday, April 27 at 5pm to Saturday at 2pm:

  1. High Street from Broad Street to Rich Street
    • Detour: Take N 3rd St heading south or N 4th St heading north
  2. W. Town Street from W. Front Street to S. High Street.
    • Detour: Take State St instead
  3. E. Town Street from S. Third St. to the Columbus Commons Garage.
    • Detour: Take State St instead
  4. E. Rich Street from High Street to S. Third Street.
    • Detour: Take W Mound St instead

With crowds expected to pour into the downtown Columbus area Saturday morning, plan ahead for parking. For a list of options, click here.

On Race Day, April 28, the Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and 5K will have “rolling” road closures that will affect streets throughout the city from 7:30am–12:30pm.

Look for your 10TV family along the race route:

Join Mike Davis as he gets the party started, live on 10TV from the Columbus Commons before and after the race day events.

Jerry Revish, Yolanda Harris, Dom Tiberi and Tracy Townsend will be stationed at the Main Stage at the start and finish line at Town Street and High Street.

10 This Morning’s Ashlee Baracy and Molly Brewer will continue the 10TV coverage, live along the route at the Schmidt’s Polka Party, located at Reinhard Avenue and 3rd Street.

Scott Light will be with a cheering crowd at mile marker 7.4 on the OSU campus. Join him at the corner of Neil Avenue and Annie and John Glenn Avenue.

Pete Scalia will be located along mile marker 4.6 at Goodale Park at Park Street and Goodale Street.
