Eli Boda, a central Ohio teenager who has been battling cancer since last spring passed away Saturday morning.

In May of 2014, Eli was admitted to Nationwide Children's Hospital where doctors diagnosed him with a high grade Glioma 4 brain tumor. He underwent radiation and chemotherapy that took a toll on his body.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation later sent him and his family on a trip to Walt Disney World and Discovery Cove in Florida.

Eli's family said the treatments were appearing to work and his scans were coming back normal, but in December they learned his tumor had come back.

In January, Eli's family and friends celebrated his 14th birthday, months early, after doctors predicted he would only live a few months.

His mother, Desirae Wagner, said he died at 10:20 Valentine's Day morning. He leaves her behind as well as three brothers.

Wagner said on Facebook that she is now planning a home going celebration for Eli.
