COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Tuesday was the May primary election in Ohio. Voters made their choices on several issues in their communities.

There were about a dozen school issues and a handful of city issues on the ballot.

Columbus voters passed a series of bond issues that will fund projects including new bike paths, street improvements and a new courthouse.

Gahanna resident voted to to increase the city's income tax rate just six months after they turned it down in November. Issue 12 will raise the tax rate one percent to 2.5 percent and give a 100-percent tax credit for people who pay municipal taxes to another city.

Some of the money would help pay for road repairs and other city services.
