Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Columbus Urban League


For 100 years, the Columbus Urban League has been committed to creating hope and opportunity for disadvantaged urban families across every neighborhood in Columbus and Franklin County.

Through 21 different initiatives their work helps those in need overcome barriers, achieve economic mobility, and teaches children critical academic and life skills.

Ranked in the top 5% of all 83 urban league affiliates throughout the country , a main focus of the Columbus Urban League is economic mobility for all.

The 700 Credit Score initiative has graduated more than 500 participants since 2016, helping people increase their savings by an average of $1,000 each, while boosting credit scores by an average of 76 points.

The Father 2 Father program has returned more than $4.3 million to children in child support since 2008 and all graduates from the five-star rated Head Start initiatives enter kindergarten reading or reading-ready.

The new Huntington Empowerment Center houses the Columbus Minority Business Assistance Center and My Brother’s Closet, which suits 250+ men every year and helps them find work.
