Members of a support group from the West coast say they felt they needed to show Ohio State students, they care.

Empowerment Revolution America, or ERA 1425, brought their support to from Oregon to Ohio. Members of the group held the "Buckeye Empowered" event at the Panera Bread restaurant on Lane Avenue near campus.

Group members say they sometimes travel across the country, responding to different traumas and tragedies to offer resources and support for young people.

"You know we speak from experience knowing that people need support. The trauma and the vicarious trauma, just knowing somebody who is affected by it, it can, it really can affect people and sometimes you don't even realize it," Aaron Stansbury said.

After ERA 1425 group members heard about Monday's attack at Ohio State, they say they felt they needed to come and offer support and be available as needed.
