HEATH, Ohio – The father of a 3-month-old girl found dead in Heath has been charged with murder, detective sergeant Craig Black with the Heath Police Department told 10TV.

On Tuesday, in his initial court appearance, he appeared without an attorney and asked for court-appointed counsel. His bond was set at $1 million.

His next appearance in court will be March 15.

Police chief Dave Haren said officers were called to the 100 block of Andover Road around 1:30 p.m. Monday after they received a report of someone not breathing.

Bri'Anna Mosholder was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Licking County Coroner’s Office is conducting an autopsy.

Police said the girl was left in the care of her father, Ryan Mosholder, while her mother was at work.

Haren said there were calls before Monday for police to the apartments where the child was found but it is not clear yet who made those calls or if they would be related to the case.

There were no other injuries related to this case according to police.
