Blue Jackets’ Oliver Bjorkstrand expected to miss 8-10 weeks after ankle surgery

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Blue Jackets announced Oliver Bjorkstrand is expected to be sidelined for eight to 10 weeks after undergoing surgery on his injured ankle.

The team announced Tuesday the surgery was successful.

The injury happened against the Philadelphia Flyers on Feb. 20.

Bjorkstrand has registered 21 goals and 15 assists for 36 points in 49 games this season, leading the club in goals, game-winning goals (five) and multi-point efforts (11).
