Bexley High School among top 5 in Ohio, says U.S. News & World Report

COLUMBUS -- U.S. News & World Report has released its annual list for the best high schools in the country and in the state.

In Ohio’s top 5, Bexley High School is ranked no. 4.

In Ohio's top 10, Olentangy Liberty High School is ranked no. 8, Dublin Jerome High School is ranked no. 9 and Olentangy High School is ranked no. 10.

The rankings are based on these principles: that a great high school must serve all of its students well, not just those who are college bound. The school also must be able to produce measurable academic outcomes to show it is successfully educating its student body.

U.S. News says Ohio high school students must earn at least 20 credits in various subjects, including four units of English language arts and math. High schoolers in Ohio must also receive instruction in economics and financial literacy to graduate, according to the Ohio Department of Education.
