COLUMBUS, Ohio — Madison Ryke joined the Doppler 10 Weather Team in September of 2022.

Madison was born in Alabama but moved to East Tennessee not long after. She fell in love with weather thanks to a passionate oceanographer who wound up teaching a middle school science class on the atmosphere, the ocean and space.

From then on Madison knew she wanted to forecast the weather someday, but she never thought she would want to be on TV.

All of that changed when she finished high school and moved west to Kansas City, Kansas. Over the next four years she attended the University of Kansas and discovered her love for broadcast.

She got her foot in the door with an internship at KSNT in Topeka, Kansas. In 2020 she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Sciences and a minor in Journalism. Madison moved north and spent the last two years in snowy Northern Michigan working at 9&10 News.

When Madison isn’t in the studio cooking up new ideas you can find her taste testing iced lattes in local coffee shops or running with her husky pup, Mako.
