Kiona Dyches

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Kiona Dyches joined 10TV as a multi-skilled journalist in January 2022. Before moving to Columbus, she spent 2-years in Dayton. 

Originally from Philly, she comes to the Buckeye State from Northern Virginia where she worked as a bureau reporter and weekend anchor for WDVM-TV.

Kiona received her bachelor's from Penn State University, where she studied broadcast journalism and African American studies. While in State College, she spent much of her time volunteering and performing with Ambitions Dance Team and the Alpha Omega step team. She also studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain. 

A proud Syracuse University alumna, she also holds a master's from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications where she studied broadcast and digital journalism. As a graduate student, Kiona had the opportunity to work as a reporter in our Nation’s Capital for several stations in Louisiana including WVLA in Baton Rouge and KTAL in Shreveport. 

When she’s not on deadline, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and trying new recipes. She is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
