Dave Holmes always wanted to cover sports in Columbus, but he never envisioned the path he would take to get to 10TV.
During his senior year at Kent State University, Dave won a national reality show on ESPN, called “Dream Job.” After beating out 43,000 competitors, Holmes became the youngest anchor in the history of national television at the age of 21.
A Northeast Ohio native, Holmes left ESPN and spent the next eight years working at WTVG in Toledo. During his time in the “glass city,” Dave won six Emmy awards and was honored eight times by the Associated Press as the best in Ohio.
A lifelong Ohio State fan, Dave is ecstatic to cover the Buckeyes every week. He also loves to tell stories that happen off the field and encourages everyone to send him ideas at Dave.Holmes@10tv.com.
In his spare time, Dave likes to golf and daydream about a Cleveland team winning a championship.
