Angela Reighard is an award-winning journalist. She joined 10TV in July 2019. She serves central Ohio as a multimedia journalist.
Reighard is an Ohio native. She grew up in North Canton where her passion for news began. Reighard made her first television debut in high school as the host of a local talk show, covering issues and events happening in the school district.
In May 2015, Reighard graduated “Magna Cum Laude” from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. She has a major in Journalism and minor in Political Science. During her time at Ohio U, Reighard worked for WOUB Public Media as an anchor, reporter, producer, and editor. She was recognized by the Ohio Valley Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences during the 51st Annual Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards where she won first place for her news reporting on the collegiate level.
Upon graduation, Reighard landed her first job at WYMT in Hazard, Kentucky. She wrote, shot, and edited stories throughout the day, while also serving as co-anchor for Mountain News at Six. In April 2017, Reighard won first place in the “Special Series” category at the Kentucky AP Awards. For one week, she followed new recruits on Parris Island as they trained to become United States Marines. Reighard went on to work for sister-station WKYT, anchoring the weekend evening news.
Over the course of her career, Reighard has worked for SiriusXM Satellite Radio’s POTUS Channel in Washington, DC, WKYC-TV in Cleveland, OH, The TODAY Show in New York, NY, and the Ohio Statehouse News Bureau in Columbus, OH.
When she is not working, Reighard enjoys spending time with her cats, consignment shopping, exploring the outdoors, trying new restaurants, and binge-watching crime documentaries.
