About Scott Light | Consumer 10

I come to 10TV for my dream gig – anchoring the news, covering politics & keeping your family “in the know.”

I’m here by way of Atlanta where I anchored evening news and had the amazing experience of interviewing President Jimmy Carter and ‘Dean of the Civil Rights Movement’ Dr. Joseph Lowery. Before that I anchored in Phoenix for 10 years. One of my favorite assignments there was a month-long stint in China anchoring daily from the Beijing Olympics. I’ve worked in Raleigh, North Carolina, spent time in the Persian Gulf for a special series on the U.S. Navy. I had the life-changing experience of reporting from the Pentagon on 9/11. The political geek in me was in heaven, spending three weeks covering the presidential recount in Florida in 2000. I’ve been humbled by the honor of six Emmy awards and Arizona Associated Press 'Anchor of the Year' award.

One of the best parts of my gig? Serving the community. I’ve volunteered at schools, the YMCA, United Blood Services, Phoenix Suns Charities and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. When I was told I had the opportunity to lead Consumer 10, I was thrilled. It speaks to what matters to you. So, every Tuesday and Thursday, I will join you with stories that affect your home, your wallet and your time. I, along with the whole Consumer 10 unit will work to protect, save and empower you. That’s the mission…and as a Dad, it hits home for me.

My wife Julie and I live in Dublin with our two teenage boys. We’re pretty proud of these guys. They are avid musicians and are doing a little contributing of their own in the Dublin Jerome community. We all enjoy any and everything outdoors: hiking, scuba diving, camping and boating. I’m an avid reader, love to travel, cook and entertain at home. I want to say thank you for bringing me and our 10TV family into your home every night. It’s an honor we appreciate.
