5 people injured in crash involving Hilliard school bus and car


COLUMBUS, Ohio – A Hilliard City Schools bus was involved in a crash with a car on the west side of Columbus on Wednesday.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. near Roberts Road and Hilliard-Rome Road.

A spokesperson for Hilliard City Schools said middle school students were on the bus.

Columbus police said two people were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, two people were taken to Mount Carmel West, and one person was taken to Doctor's Hospital for their injuries.

The district spokesperson said the bus driver is being treated for a minor wrist injury and no students were taken to the hospital.

All of the students were taken off the bus and parents were notified to pick their children up, according to the district spokesperson.
