3 children injured in Prairie Township crash

Three children were injured in a Prairie Township crash Friday afternoon.

The crash involved three vehicles and happened in the area Feder Road and Alton Darby Creek Road around 2:20 p.m.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, a pick-up truck was traveling eastbound on Feder Road and ran the red light at the intersection of Alton and Darby Creek Road.

The truck struck two vehicles: one that was traveling southbound on Alton and Darby Creek Road and another traveling northbound.

The driver of the truck, identified as 27-year-old Joshua Turner, was taken to Grant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Turner’s three children, two 1-year-olds and a 4-year-old, were seated in the back seat of the truck. All three children were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

A male 1-year old is in critical condition.

The northbound vehicle suffered heavy damage. The driver was taken to Grant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The southbound vehicle suffered only minor damage. The driver did not report any injury.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected. This incident remains under investigation.
