22-year-old man dead following shooting in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio - One person has died following a shooting in northeast Columbus Sunday night, according to Columbus police.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Schenley Drive.

Upon responding to the scene, officers found an unresponsive man inside the home.

Police say the victim. later identified as 22-year-old Rayvon Marquiese Ford, was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition and was pronounced dead at 7:29 p.m.

According to police, the victim was involved in an altercation with an unknown person just prior to the shooting.

This is the 11th Homicide in Columbus, Ohio in Calendar Year 2019.
